Every day, your body deals with stress from normal metabolism and the world around you.
Glutathione is one of the antioxidants your body makes to help protect cells against that damage.
And when it comes to aging well, people increasingly want to understand more than what they're putting on their skin. They want to understand what's happening inside their bodies, too.
That's why glutathione has become a topic of interest in skin health and wellness.

Your cells encounter oxidative stress throughout life. Glutathione plays a role in the natural defenses that help them respond.
Free radicals are a normal part of life. Glutathione helps your body neutralize them and maintain its natural antioxidant balance.
Learn how glutathione helps protect cells from oxidative damage—and whether supplemental treatment is appropriate for your health goals.
These cards describe areas of interest and what the body's own glutathione does, not results of treatment. Clinical evidence for supplemental glutathione's wellness benefits remains limited. Individual results may vary.
Glutathione is one of the body's key antioxidants. It helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals—unstable molecules produced during normal metabolism and exposure to environmental stressors.
Think of it as part of your body's built-in protection system.
Glutathione helps neutralize free radicals before they can contribute to oxidative damage.
Your cells continually use and regenerate glutathione as part of maintaining antioxidant balance.
Glutathione participates in processes involved in protecting cells and handling certain compounds within the body.
This describes the glutathione your body makes. It does not show what supplemental treatment will do for you; your physician determines whether it's appropriate.
In its active (reduced) form, called GSH, glutathione can donate electrons.
Those electrons neutralize reactive molecules made during normal metabolism.
An enzyme, glutathione reductase, uses NADPH to turn used glutathione (GSSG) back into GSH.
Cells regulate this balance tightly. More is not necessarily better, and responses vary.
Short for reduction–oxidation: the transfer of electrons between molecules. Your cells keep this balance tightly regulated.

“I built Aurum because I didn’t trust what I was seeing in men’s health. On one side, you have clinics pushing prescriptions. On the other, people experimenting on themselves without proper medical guidance. I wanted something different. A trusted advisor who understands my health, remembers my history, and helps me make better decisions without trying to sell me something I don’t need. That’s why I created Aris, and ultimately, Aurum.”
Results are not guaranteed, and some people notice no change. Glutathione is one of the antioxidants your body makes, but that natural role does not establish that injected glutathione produces predictable improvements in skin appearance, energy, or wellness. Evidence for supplemental glutathione is limited. Your physician can talk through realistic expectations.
It may not. Research on glutathione and skin appearance is limited, and most of it involved small numbers of people using oral or topical forms. Those results cannot be assumed to apply to injected glutathione, and no particular change in skin appearance is promised.
There is no reliable timeline. Responses vary from person to person, and some people notice little or no change.
If a physician approves, one order: 10 mL total, supplied as two 5 mL vials, prepared by a licensed pharmacy partner and shipped to you with no separate shipping fee. How you use it is set by your physician’s directions. Laboratory testing is not included.
No. Treatments do not require an Aurum Membership. Membership-only benefits such as lab panels are not part of a Treatments order.

No. Compounded glutathione is not FDA-approved, and its use for the goals described on this page is off-label. A licensed physician decides whether it is appropriate for you.
Possible side effects include: Generally well tolerated; Injection site reactions; Rare: excessive supplementation in members with already-optimal redox status may cause reductive stress or immune-function changes — more is not necessarily better. Glutathione may not be right for you if any of these apply: Significant renal impairment (relative — physician-gated; high-dose use is not recommended in pre-existing renal disease); Pregnancy or breastfeeding (avoid — insufficient safety data); Known hypersensitivity to glutathione or preparation components. Your physician reviews your history, medications and the risks with you before anything is prescribed, and approval is not guaranteed.
Approved prescriptions are filled by a licensed pharmacy partner and shipped to you. No separate shipping fee is charged. Each order is a one-time purchase; nothing renews or is charged again automatically. Cancellation and refunds are explained in Section 12 of our Terms of Service.
